Spearmint is not as intense as peppermint, and considered easier to ingest and more suitable to the palate.  It is famously used in gums and mints. It is closely related to other mint plants and is a green, flowering bush-like plant. It’s taste is enhanced with sugar or artificial sweeteners. Unlike peppermint, this oil contains less amounts of menthol which many consider to be harmful.
