Instructions for Use
In very diluted forms it can be mixed with stronger fragrances and then used in perfumes. It should never be ingested in its pure form, neither should it be used on the skin in concentrated form. It can be used to season meat, and to flavor beer and used in tea infusions.
History and Additional Information
For centuries, Mugwort Oil was used to induce abortions and enhance labor contractions in Europe while the Chinese have used it to prevent miscarriages and regulate menstruation. The Japanese and Chinese have also been using it to cure rheumatism and epileptic fits. Its fresh leaves can be infused and drunk to cure stomach complaints.
It got its name from Greek Goddess Artemis the comforter of women. Historically, though, in Europe it was associated with witchcraft and superstition.
