Cornmint has been in existence for a very long time. This is shown not only by word of mouth but in many ancient medical writings. This plant obviously originated from China. This is because the first ever mention that was made of this is by the famous herbal medicine guru Grandfather Lei during his discussion of the preparation of herbs in 470 AD. Back then, the Chinese used it to treat blood dysentery.
