Camphor is found in the wood of several trees, most notably the camphor laurel (Cinnamomum camphora), which is a large evergreen tree indiginous to parts of Asia (Sumatra, Borneo and Taiwan), also Dryobalanops aromatica, from Borneo, Ocotea usambarensis, a tree of the laurel family.
