The essential oil of cove leaf comes from the leaf and used to treat skin irritations and many digestive problems. It is also beneficial in eliminating bad breath, and has been used for soap and candle manufacturing for years. It is analgesic, anti-neuralgic, carminative, anti-infectious, disinfectant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, insecticidal, a stimulant, and a tonic.

Instructions for Use

This oil is best diluted with vegetable oils. You can apply to the skin, but first test your skin to a small amount mixed in a carrier to make sure you have no reactions. This oil can be mixed with other supplements to enhance/supplement their effects.

History and Additional Information

This leaf originated from Asia, (India and Indonesia to be precise). It was often used in Rome and Greece during ancient times. There, it was used as cure for toothaches and halitosis. They used it as a breath freshener especially when addressing the king. It is used for perfumes, and is actively exchanged in the spice trade. It contains eugenol, eugenol acetate, iso-eugenol and caryophyllene.
